- How much will I save with the ScriptSave® WellRx Card card?
- Savings average 45% with potential savings of up to 80% (based on 2015 national program savings data). Savings vary based upon the medication and the pharmacy you choose to use.
- Who can use the ScriptSave® WellRx Card?
If you do NOT have health insurance, use your ScriptSave® WellRx card to save on brand-name or generic prescriptions you or family members pay for out-of-pocket.
If you HAVE health insurance or a high-deductible health plan, use your ScriptSave® card to save on prescriptions that are not covered by your insurance or if the ScriptSave® WellRx discounted price is lower than your insurance copay.
If you have Medicare Part D, use your ScriptSave® WellRx card to save on excluded prescriptions.
If you HAVE pets, use your ScriptSave® WellRx card to save on human-equivalent pet prescriptions.
- Can I save on drugs for my pets?
- Yes! Actually, many drugs for pets are also human drugs. Ask your veterinarian if there is a human equivalent and dosage for your pet's medication. If so, your vet can write a prescription that can be filled at a ScriptSave® WellRx participating pharmacy at most of their participating pharmacies. Learn more about Pet Savings.
- The pharmacist gave me a different price than what the savings calculator showed. What can I do?
It's frustrating to be quoted one price online, only to find it's different when you arrive at the pharmacy. Prescription prices are volatile, and can change daily at different pharmacies even in the same zip code.
When you use the price check tools, be sure to do a final look-up on the same day you are paying for your drugs. You're far less likely to be surprised by a different amount than you expected, and you may find another pharmacy with an even lower price!
If you're still having problems, call the toll-free support line at 1-800-407-8156, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 8pm EST.Visit the ScriptSave® WellRx blog for even more details on accurate prescription pricing.
- What if there is no generic available?
Generic prescription drugs are available only when the patent for the original brand name drug has expired. The patents for many popular brand name drugs have recently expired. However, if a generic is not available, there may be an alternative medication in the same pharmaceutical class that is less expensive or that does have a generic equivalent. Ask your physician if an alternative would be right for you.
- How do I know if a generic is "A" rated?
Most pharmacies carry primarily "A" rated generics. Non - "A" rated generics are usually used only for conditions that are not life-threatening (such as decongestants, etc.), but the only way to know for sure is to ask your pharmacist.
- What if my pharmacy won't take my ScriptSave® WellRx card?
If you are using a participating pharmacy, the ScriptSave® WellRx customer service representatives will be happy to assist the pharmacy with processing. To speak to a representative, call 1-800-407-8156.
